Heavy duty truck batteries, by group size and use

These are the commercial truck batteries we keep in stock for hard daily starting. Getting the group size and the chemistry right for how hard you run the truck matters more than the brand on the case:

• Group 31 - the workhorse for most semis, work trucks, and heavy-tow rigs, in standard, high-capacity, and AGM.
• Group 27 - strong cranking for many ¾-ton and 1-ton trucks.
• Group 65 - the common fit for Ford Super Duty trucks like the F-350.
• Dual-terminal 34/78 - top and side posts for GM trucks that need both.
• AGM vs. flooded - a Group 31 AGM battery handles high vibration, deep draw, and start-stop duty; flooded covers everyday rugged starting for less.
• Test first - about one in ten times the battery isn't the problem, and we'll tell you when it's the charging system instead of selling you a battery you don't need.

We stock our own Bulldog Battery line alongside Deka and Crown, so we can match the battery to the truck instead of handing you whatever's on the shelf. We can install most batteries here too; on heavy-duty applications that's a paid service, but it gets done right and torqued down before you pull out.
