The Crown 8D-HD is a Group 8D battery built for the machines that ask the most of a starting battery: commercial trucks, plow rigs, construction equipment, and industrial power systems. It puts out 1100 cold cranking amps at 12 volts, which is the kind of reserve you want when a cold engine has to turn over on the first try at 6 a.m.

Group 8D is the largest common commercial case size, and this one is built to the full standard: 20.75 inches long, 11 inches wide, 8.875 inches tall, and 115 pounds on the scale. The positive terminal sits on the left. That detail matters more than people expect. If your cables were routed for a right-positive battery, they may not reach, so check your existing battery before you order.
