Sun Joe Battery Replacement vs. Rebuild: What You Actually Get

A rebuild is different from buying an aftermarket replacement pack. Every cell comes out and new lithium-ion cells go in, matched and balanced so the pack charges evenly and reports its charge state honestly. What we keep is your original housing, contacts, and battery management board. That is why a rebuilt pack seats in the tool and talks to it exactly the way the original did, which is where aftermarket packs most often go wrong.

One honest caution before you order. If the housing is cracked, the terminals are burned, or the management board has failed rather than the cells, a rebuild will not fix it. We check the pack before we do any work, and if yours is not worth rebuilding we will call you and talk it through instead of handing you back something that disappoints you in a month.
