When a Rapala fillet knife quits halfway through a limit of walleye, the knife is usually fine. The cells inside the battery are what wore out. This Rapala fillet knife battery rebuild service replaces every cell in your existing 7.2V pack with fresh lithium-ion cells and sends the pack back to you in its original housing, with full runtime restored.

A rebuild is not a recharge trick or a reconditioning cycle. We open the pack, pull the tired cells, and install new lithium-ion cells matched to the factory 7.2V specification. The finished pack gets tested under load before it goes back in the box. Because your original case and contacts stay with it, there is nothing to guess about fit. Send the battery pack only. Keep the knife, the blades, and the charger at home. All we need is the pack itself, and shipping it by itself keeps the cost and the handling down on both ends.

This service covers the 7.2V lithium-ion pack used in Rapala cordless and electric fillet knives, listed in our system as RRFNB. If the label on your pack reads 7.2V lithium-ion, this is your rebuild.

One honest word of caution before you order. If your knife already runs weak or stalls with a freshly charged battery, the problem may be in the motor or the switch, and a new set of cells will not fix it. Same goes for a pack with a cracked or badly warped housing, since we reuse that housing. Call us and describe what the knife is doing. We would rather check twice than take your money for the wrong repair.
