Oregon B650E 40V Battery Rebuild Service – 6.0Ah Lithium-Ion Re-Cell

If your Oregon 40V pack is running short, dying under load, or refusing to take a charge at all, a rebuild puts it back to work. This Oregon 40V battery rebuild service re-cells the B650E pack with new lithium-ion cells and returns it at its original 40 volts and 6.0 amp-hours, in the housing, contacts, and electronics you already own. We do this for customers anywhere in the country, and freight both directions is included in the price.

Lithium packs rarely fail as a whole. A few cells drift out of balance, capacity drops, and the pack starts shutting the tool down early while everything else inside it is still fine. Replacing those cells costs well under a new OEM pack and gives back the runtime the tool had when it was new. We've been rebuilding battery packs for 36 years, and mower and trimmer packs come across the bench the same way medical and industrial packs do.

How the Mail-In Rebuild Works

You pay for the rebuild and nothing else. Here's the whole process:

• Order the rebuild here. That's the only charge.
• We email you a prepaid shipping label. Print it, box up the pack, and drop it off.
• We re-cell and test it on the bench at our facility in Willoughby, Ohio.
• We ship it back on our dime, ready to drop into your charger.

Nothing to arrange and no freight to eat on either end, whether you're twenty minutes away or three states out.

One honest caveat: a rebuild only makes sense when the rest of the pack is sound. If the case is cracked or swollen, or the internal electronics are damaged, that pack isn't a good candidate, and we'd rather tell you than take your money for a repair that won't hold. If we open yours and find a problem like that, we get in touch before going any further.

Getting the Most Out of a Rebuilt Pack

Store the rebuilt pack around half charge if it's going to sit through the winter, and keep it out of an unheated garage when temperatures drop well below freezing. Lithium cells lose capacity fastest when they sit full or sit cold, and a pack that spends January at 20 degrees hands back noticeably shorter runtime in the spring.
