Some 72-volt machines do real work: a hunting buggy hauling a deer out of the back acreage, or a cart that runs all day and gets asked for more. The Lithium Rhino LR76V170AH, nicknamed Godzilla, is a 72V lithium battery kit for those machines. It holds 170 amp-hours and 13,056 watt-hours in one self-heated LiFePO4 pack, which makes it the biggest golf cart pack we carry from Lithium Rhino.
Size cuts both ways, and we'd rather tell you now than after the lead-acid batteries are out. This battery measures 20.7 x 17.9 x 12.6 inches, and it likely won't drop into your cart's stock battery tray. Lithium Rhino fits it to EZ-GO TXT carts, Bad Boy Buggies and others, but it lists those fits as needing tray modification. Plan on cutting or reworking the tray, or have someone do it. Before you order, call us with the year, make and model, and we'll tell you what your cart needs.
If that sounds like more project than you want, the 105Ah version of this kit comes in a long, low case and is worth asking about.
A 72 Volt Lithium Golf Cart Battery That Replaces the Whole Bank
Every lead-acid battery in the 72V string comes out, and this single pack takes over. That means no more topping off water, no more cleaning corrosion and no more matching a new battery to five tired ones. It also means a new charger. A lead-acid charger doesn't charge lithium correctly, so the kit includes a 16A charger matched to the pack. Lithium Rhino says it takes the battery from 20% to 80% in about four hours, plugged into an ordinary 110V outlet through the charge port adapter.
Nominal voltage reads 76.8V because 24 lithium iron phosphate cells at 3.2 volts each add up to that; it's the lithium equivalent of a 72V system. The self-heating matters in Northeast Ohio. Charging lithium below freezing damages cells, so this pack warms itself to 32°F first. A buggy parked in a cold barn on hunting land out by Newbury can go on the charger in December without anyone babysitting it.

Warranty: 8 Years on the Battery
Lithium Rhino backs the battery (cells, BMS and built-in electronics) for eight years from the date you buy it, and the claim runs through our counter:
- Years 1–6: repair or replacement at no cost to you, shipping included.
- Years 7–8: repair or replacement for a flat $500 deductible; Lithium Rhino covers the rest.
- Kit components (the charger, 12V reducer, gauge, cables and switches): two years of full replacement, then replacement at half of current list price for the life of the battery.
Register the battery with Lithium Rhino within 120 days of purchase. An unregistered battery is covered for one year only; we'll do the registration with you at the counter. Physical damage, water intrusion, improper installation and charging with a charger Lithium Rhino hasn't approved are not covered, so stay with the charger that came in the kit.
