Read this first: this is the battery only. It does not come with a charger, a gauge, a DC converter or cables. The Lithium Rhino LR51V105AH-S is a 48V 105Ah lithium battery for carts that already have the rest of a lithium setup in place, and the box holds the battery, a metal drill bit with mounting hardware, and a lead-acid removal strap.
So who buys it this way? Usually someone whose cart already runs lithium. Maybe the original pack failed out of warranty and the charger, gauge and wiring are all still good. Maybe you're setting up a second cart and already own a spare 48V lithium charger. In either case, paying for a second charger and gauge you'll never unbox makes no sense.
What You Still Need for This 48V 105Ah Lithium Battery
If your cart is still running lead-acid, you'll need three things before this battery can go to work:
- A 48V charger with a lithium (LiFePO4) charging profile
- Heavy-gauge cables to connect the battery to the cart
- A gauge or monitor, if you want one on the dash (the Rhino app covers state of charge on your phone)
Your old lead-acid charger can't stand in for the first item. A lead-acid charger follows a charging profile built for lead plates, and a lithium pack needs a different one. Call us and we'll quote a matched 48V lithium charger and cables, or point you to the complete kit version if that comes out ahead. If you'd rather have everything in one box, our Lithium Rhino LR51V105AH-CUBE page is the full 48V lithium golf cart battery kit.
Fit and Size
This is the original black-case 48V 105Ah pack, 18.1 inches long. That's four inches longer than the CUBE version, so measure the tray. One of these replaces a whole bank of six 8V or four 12V lead-acid batteries, which means no more watering and a lot less weight on the cart's frame. Before you buy, call us with your cart's year, make and model and we'll check it.
Applications
- Replacing a worn-out lithium pack in a 48V golf cart
- Second carts where you already own a 48V lithium charger
- 48V LSVs and neighborhood carts
- 48V hunting buggies and utility carts
The battery is IP65 splash-proof. A cart that spends summers on a lake lot near Kirtland or Concord Township will handle rain and wet grass without trouble. A boat is another story. If that's the real job, call us and we'll steer you to a waterproof battery instead.
