If your 48V cart is due for a new set of batteries, you are probably looking at six 8-volt or four 12-volt lead-acid batteries, a watering schedule, and a charger that takes all night. The Lithium Rhino LR51V105AH-CUBE is a 48V lithium golf cart battery that takes the place of that entire bank with one LiFePO4 pack, and it comes as a complete conversion kit with its own charger, gauge, and cables.

Here is what the swap changes day to day. There are no caps to pull and no distilled water to top off. There is no acid creeping onto the terminals and the tray. The cart loses a lot of dead weight, since one 105-pound battery replaces the whole row of lead. And lithium holds its voltage until it is nearly empty, so the cart climbs the last hill of the afternoon the way it climbed the first one in the morning. Lithium Rhino rates this pack for 35+ miles of real-world driving with passengers aboard.

Your old lead-acid charger stays behind. It charges on the wrong profile for lithium, which is why the kit includes a matched 25A charger that takes this pack from low to full in about four hours on a standard 110V outlet.

Which 48V Carts This Lithium Golf Cart Battery Fits

The CUBE is the compact version of Lithium Rhino's 48V 105Ah pack: 14.1 inches long, four inches shorter than the original, and one inch taller. Lithium Rhino built it to fit every 48V cart, including older Club Car DS models and 2004–2008 Club Cars with the controller panel in the center of the tray. The battery sits on either side of that panel, so the panel stays where it is.

Carts get modified over the years, though, and trays get swapped. Call us with your cart's year, make and model and we'll check it before you buy. Most installs run two to four hours.

That last one matters around here. Carts at the campgrounds and lake lots out past Chardon and Newbury can sit for weeks, and a lithium pack holds its charge through a long stretch of sitting far better than a lead-acid bank does.

One honest limit: this kit is IP65 splash-proof. It shrugs off rain and a wet cart path, but it is not a marine battery. Don't mount it on a boat.

Warranty: 8 Years on the Battery

Lithium Rhino backs the battery (cells, BMS and built-in electronics) for eight years from the date you buy it, and the claim runs through our counter:

• Years 1–6: repair or replacement at no cost to you, shipping included.
• Years 7–8: repair or replacement for a flat $500 deductible; Lithium Rhino covers the rest.
• Kit components (the charger, 12V reducer, gauge, cables and switches): two years of full replacement, then replacement at half of current list price for the life of the battery.

Register the battery with Lithium Rhino within 120 days of purchase. An unregistered battery is covered for one year only; we'll do the registration with you at the counter. Physical damage, water intrusion, improper installation and charging with a charger Lithium Rhino hasn't approved are not covered, so stay with the charger that came in the kit.
