Six 6-volt batteries, a jug of distilled water and a wire brush for the corroded posts: that's the upkeep on most 36V carts, and it gets old. The Lithium Rhino LR38V65AH is a 36 volt lithium golf cart battery that replaces the whole bank with one LiFePO4 battery about the size of a single battery you're pulling out.
That size is the reason to pick this kit. The battery measures 12.5 by 10 by 9 inches and weighs about 50 pounds, so it sits in the footprint of one old lead-acid battery and secures with the mounting hardware in the box. You don't drill anything and you don't fabricate brackets. The rest of the tray is simply open. There are no caps to check and no acid on the terminals, and the cart sheds most of the weight it used to haul around under the seat.
Leave the old lead-acid charger on the garage shelf. Lithium charges on a different profile, so the kit comes with its own fast charger, about 20A, that plugs into a regular 110V outlet through the included charge port adapter.
What This 36V Lithium Golf Cart Battery Conversion Kit Replaces
One LR38V65AH takes the place of six 6V flooded batteries in a standard 36V cart. Lithium Rhino calls it drop-in for most 36V carts, and "most" is the word to pay attention to, because battery compartments and cable runs change from one model year to the next. Call us with your cart's year, make and model and we'll check it before you buy. A typical install takes two to four hours, and the removal strap in the kit makes lifting the old batteries out a lot less awkward.

65Ah is the lighter-duty size. Lithium Rhino rates it for 25+ miles per charge, which covers a round on the course or a summer of evening loops through a Chardon subdivision. If your cart puts in long days or climbs a lot of hills, look at the 36V 105Ah kit instead. It carries more range but takes up more of the tray.
Keep it out of the boat. The case is IP65 splash-proof, fine for rain and wet grass, but it is not a marine battery. We carry IP67 lithium packs for trolling motors.

- Years 1–6: repair or replacement at no cost to you, shipping included.
- Years 7–8: repair or replacement for a flat $500 deductible; Lithium Rhino covers the rest.
- Kit components (the charger, gauge and cables): two years of full replacement, then replacement at half of current list price for the life of the battery.
