A 24V trolling motor has always meant two 12V batteries riding in the boat, a jumper cable between them, and one of the pair usually giving out before the other. The Lithium Rhino LR24V100AH-M is a 24V lithium trolling motor battery that retires both. It's a single 45.4 lb pack with 100 amp-hours on tap, sealed to IP67 so it shrugs off a wet compartment.

Replacing a Two-Battery 12V Bank With One 24V Lithium Marine Battery

Here is what the swap looks like at the dock. The two lead-acid batteries and their series jumper come out. This battery goes in their place, and your motor leads land on its two M8 terminals. Your old charger has to go too, since lead-acid chargers don't use the charge profile lithium needs. The kit includes a 15A waterproof charger that refills the pack from empty in roughly 400 minutes, so plugging in when you get home has it ready by morning.

No more watering, no more checking whether one battery in the pair has fallen behind. The battery management system keeps watch over all eight cells inside the one case.

For a sense of runtime, Lithium Rhino rates this pack for 240 minutes of reserve at a constant 25-amp draw. That's four full hours at a pace most 24V motors rarely hold for long. Throttle back to work a weed edge or hold on a spot, and the day stretches well past that. Walleye and perch anglers running out of Fairport Harbor, or bass anglers poking up the Grand River toward Painesville, will feel the difference in the afternoon, when lithium's steady voltage keeps the motor pulling like it did at launch.

Two things this battery won't do. It won't start an outboard; it's deep cycle, and cranking amps are a different job. And Lithium Rhino doesn't support wiring two together in series, so it isn't a building block for a 36V or 48V system. Running a 36V motor? We carry 36V versions too. Warranty: 8 Years on the Battery

Lithium Rhino backs the battery (cells, BMS and built-in electronics) for eight years from the date you buy it, and the claim runs through our counter:

• Years 1–6: repair or replacement at no cost to you, shipping included.
• Years 7–8: repair or replacement for a flat $500 deductible; Lithium Rhino covers the rest.
• Kit components (the 15A waterproof charger, console gauge and mounting hardware): two years of full replacement, then replacement at half of current list price for the life of the battery.

Register the battery with Lithium Rhino within 120 days of purchase. An unregistered battery is covered for one year only; we'll do the registration with you at the counter. Physical damage, water intrusion, improper installation and charging with a charger Lithium Rhino hasn't approved are not covered, so stay with the charger that came in the kit.
