Epoch B36100A-A 36V 100Ah Lithium Trolling Motor Battery – LiFePO4 3.84kWh

The Epoch B36100A-A is a 36V lithium trolling motor battery that replaces a bank of three 12V lead-acid batteries with one drop-in unit. It stores 100Ah of capacity (3.84kWh of energy) and weighs 75 pounds, less than half of what a typical three-battery lead-acid setup puts in the hull. If you're tired of hauling and maintaining three batteries to feed one motor, this is the fix.

LiFePO4 chemistry holds its voltage nearly flat as it drains, so the motor pulls with the same thrust in the afternoon that it had at first light. Lead-acid sags as it discharges, and you feel it at the pedal. The built-in battery management system guards against over-charge, over-discharge, short circuit, and temperature extremes, and internal heating lets the pack accept a charge in freezing weather — useful for early spring and late fall trips out of Mentor Harbor, Fairport, and Grand River. Bluetooth is built in as well: check state of charge, voltage, and current from your phone before the boat leaves the driveway.

Fits 36V Trolling Motor Systems — Replaces a Three-Battery 12V Bank

This battery drops into compatible 36V systems, including many Minn Kota, Garmin, and Lowrance trolling motors. Confirm your motor is a 36V model and that its current draw stays within the 120A continuous rating below. The case measures 20 × 10.25 × 11 inches with M8 female terminals, so measure your compartment and hold-downs before you order. Need more runtime? Up to four of these can run in parallel for a 400Ah bank.

Beyond the Boat: Golf Carts and Off-Grid Power

Trolling motors are the headline job, but this is a 36V deep cycle battery first. Any compatible 36V system that draws within its ratings can run on it:

Two things to know before you buy. First, this is a deep cycle battery — it will not crank an outboard, and it should never be wired in series to build a higher-voltage bank. Second, it needs a 36V lithium-compatible charger; the old lead-acid charger that ran your last bank won't do the job. If you're not sure on either count, call us and we'll check it against your setup before you spend the money.
