So every LiFePO4 battery has a rule: no charging below freezing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA standard pack follows that rule by refusing to charge. Its battery management system sees the cold and waits until the cells warm up on their own, which in a Northeast Ohio barn might be March. This one follows the same rule a different way. When you plug in below 32°F, it heats the cells inside the pack up to 32°F first, and then lets the charge begin.
